Mike Swanson, owner of GMS Solutions LLC has been working as a security integrator since 1976. Beginning as a service technician for a prominent company who became the forerunner in the Bluegrass area for systems integrations, Mike serviced and installed electronic gates, CCTV and access control systems and eventually becoming the company’s service manager.
During the 1980’s, Mike became involved in the sales and marketing of gates on a wholesale and retail level, which grew to also include access control and CCTV. Because of his increased knowledge and ability, Mike has trained numerous individuals through the years and has held various training seminars on safety and operation of these systems.
Also during these years, Mike became Project Manager and Vice President of the company. In the mid 2000’s, this company was sold to another prominent national systems integrator. Mike was retained during the transition as Regional Manager for the Eastern Region of the United States and remained in this position until he made the decision to start GMS Solutions.
Mike desired to pursue his “true passion” again. Wanting to return to a more hands-on, day-to-day involvement in this business, he started GMS Solutions LLC.
As Mike states,
“I get my excitement and true satisfaction from being able to design and build systems and to service our clients. All systems are uniquely different which offers the opportunity to listen to each client and discern what will meet their expectations. My goal is to meet and exceed that expectation providing a system that is dependable and professionally installed. Customer service is our ONLY product. And that can mean responding to a service call within eight business hours or completing a project on time. That, I feel is the ONE most important ingredient of our business.”
